I've got a real clever way of remembering all the commandments.
The trick is to picture the number and story in your head".
(after each trick/story name the commandment)
1. God must be number 1
2. The number 2 looks like someone bowing to an idol
3. the number 3 looks like 2 lips taking His name in vain
4. The number 4 rhymes with door..to the church on the sabbath
5. the number 5 rhymes with alive...alive on the earth if you honor mother and father
6. the number 6..feet under..dead..thou shalt not kill
7. the number 7..7 year itch movie about adultary
8. the number 8 looks like a robbers mask turned up..shalt not steal
9 the number 9 cant stand on its own. Because its back is curved, it lies down. dont lie
10. the number 10 is perfect on a scale. I want it
10 karat gold...I want it.. or covet it. you shall not covet
which ones would you say youve broken?
First off, hebrews 6:18 says its impossible for God to lie?
Now God says if you've broken just one you've broken all. James 2:10
God says also the penalty to breaking His law is death/hell.
Does this concern you? (Yes but I ask God to forgive me everyday)
Gods word says Jesus Christ came to save sinners. He suffered, died and rose again, Taking your punishment. Forgiveness comes only to those who confess and forsake sin and trust Jesus Christ as the payer for their sin debt and Live for Him.
(At this point you will know if His heart is soft toward His sin and toward Christ)
Ask Him.. Would you like to from this day forward, throw away your sin, to pray and ask God for forgiveness and for Jesus to clean you up?
(if they so no, ask If you could pray for them right now)
This is a basic outline, stick with this. add to it or make it more simple but this is the way to conviction over sin, contrition, confession, repentance, and Jesus.
With repetition you will get good at it and more skilled.
With every fact back it up with your best scriptures
Stick to the point. Dont get lead away with pointless knowledge.
Sometimes religious so-calleds cant keep up with you in knowledge so they begin to bring up pointless knowledge just to impress you or boast that they know something as well. STICK TO THE SUBJECT!! CONVICTION in their heart about sin.
