Dead men have no rights part 5
Dead men have no rights part 5
This whole teaching has had a profound impact on my life, as I have had to examine my heart and look at all the entitlement issues that were hidden there. I pray that it is having the same impact on all that read them. As we continue, I pray that God will speak to us through this teaching.
I would like to go deeper in this area of entitlement, which I believe is holding back the body from the fullness of the Lord, and in turn holding back the revolution we so desperately need in this world. We are at a point in time that we as the Body of Christ must get real and take this Gospel to the world without fear or hesitation. The world needs to see Christ in us, the only hope for this world is Jesus. We are at a point in history where the whole dynamic of life as we understand it is about to change, and for the most part we are more worried about our comfort and place in this world than we are that it is passing away. What will it take to wake the Body of Christ to the urgency of time that is at hand?
I'm afraid that only deep revelation from the Word of God sent by God will do. We are so accustomed to the comforts of this world and what it affords us, that we have become numb to the calling of our Lord. Most of us live so far above the rest of the world that we feel that because we are Americans, we are entitled to the comforts of this world when the Bible tells us just the opposite. From that we have built our own doctrines to make us feel better about our lack of devotion of to the Lord. The modern church has become a place we go to make us feel better about our-selves and the selfish life that most live. The modern church has little impact on the world around it and the main reason for that is that it is not real.
When something is not real and transparent the people that are around it can clearly see it and no matter how big of a facade or show that is put on its not real.
What has been built in to this system is what Peter called a well without water in 2 Peter 2:17-21. A well or a spring without water is a curse instead of a blessing. When somebody dying of thirst sees what they perceive as a place to get a drink but instead find it, empty they are worse off. If we are not living the Gospel, we are a well without water or an empty spring leaving people more thirsty than before they stopped by. Dead men, dead to this world and alive in Christ, are springs of living water. Entitlement is what stops this flow. Follow me in this, when you think that you deserve the best of this world your focus become this world. But when you become a pilgrim or a dead man walking in this world, your focus is on the Kingdom not yourself. Most of what is called Christianity today is really "churchianity" and it is self serving. This is why the cities are not impacted by them, they are designed to build a mini kingdom of this earth.
How does this apply to our everyday life? Look in your life and see if you can find areas of entitlement, we all have them if we are truthful with our-self. Ask the Holy Spirit to point them out and be willing to put them on the Cross and leave them there. Look at your family and see if this sense of entitlement shows in it. We must define these areas and repent to live in the Kingdom. You must understand that only those who are willing to lose their life will save it. This goes much deeper, it means giving yourself completely to the Lord. This is the way of the cross and the only way to Christ. It is the little areas in our life that trip us up, the things we refuse to let the Lord have, the selfish things we will not let go of; the things we won't forgive; the sins we won't repent of. How many marriages need healing to flow through? How many hidden sins need to come to the light so they can get free? Many of these suffer from one person thinking they deserve better than what they have, instead of letting the Lord build their relationship.
We must take on these issues and get free! We need to get right and get busy with the job that Jesus put before us. Time is short and enough has been wasted. We can see the Kingdom on this earth but we must be willing to lay down our life. Dead Men have No Rights, but we do have an inheritance from the King of Kings, isn't that enough?
