TEAR DOWN YOUR FILTHY IDOLS!!

I wonder how serious most Christians are about their walk with the Lord? The Lord has had me, during recent meetings, ask this question of the body. Did you really mean the words you sang to the Lord? Do most understand that the words that we speak out we will be held accountable too? I think not. Let me give you an example. Last Saturday, a preacher from the prosperity gospel group that comes down during the outreach. pulled his brand new Camaro SS car right up into the middle of where we were ministering to the poor, preaching the Gospel and feeding the hungry. Not only did he pull it up there but he started polishing his idol right in the middle of the outreach and telling people not to get too close.
This man had just sang a song that said we lift our heart and bend our knees we give up our idols. Do you think he could of meant what he said to God? Yet the very gospel he preaches justifies his actions and even tells him to seek more idols. I'm sure he believes he served the Lord by just being there. That is how most churchgoers feel they are doing their part by showing up at something religious; in fact they feel like they are doing God a favor.
Things like this bother me deeply and it seems nobody is willing to challenge these guys with the truth. It is easier to just let it go, after all, we wouldn't want to be to critical. Well I can't let it go because if nobody confronts this, the people can stay in err and miss the Kingdom all together. Just this morning a group of christian bikers came for their once a month service to the Lord and again the whole issue of idols was stirred again. One of the guys, who is a pastor, came over and got food from us to give to a homeless man. Now get this, he drove up on a 30 thousand dollar bike yet he couldn't afford to give anything of his own to the poor, instead he gave out someone else's bread and felt like he was doing a work for the Lord. Does Isiah 58 not say to give of your own bread? Don't get me wrong, we gladly give the food to everybody, but how unreal is it that a guy on a 30 thousand dollar bike can't find it in his heart to give something of his? These guys are way more about their bikes than Jesus. In fact, mostly what they do is make a lot of noise and stir up all the people, then talk about their bikes with each other and then leave. But man, do they look good in all their leather and expensive bikes. Sounds a lot like the modern church. It really looks good with all the bells and whistles, but it really has no power at all. In Texas we call that big hat no cattle!!
What will it take to tear down the idols in our culture and get back to the simple Gospel? We must radically challenge this idolatry in the church at all cost! We must get radical and call it out at every chance. If we would get real, there is enough wealth in the church to take the Gospel to every nation. But first, we must really cast down our idols and not just sing about it. Maybe if we understood that when we sing out these songs we are telling God that were really going to do this, and not only that but we are willing to be judged by the words that come out of our mouth. If this were to happen, how many worship leaders would have to repent before they get up and perform? How many in the body would repent before they sing? Wow!! If this happened maybe we would get real and see the revolution break forth.
Sadly this won't happen in most of the church because it is just to hard to preach on repentance and idols in our life. Why, this would make a lot of people leave our church and then we wouldn't have enough money to pay our bills and salaries. Then we wouldn't be able to have feel good meetings and people would feel bad about themselves and we just can't have that. The truth is, this is what we need. We must tear down the idols and cast them out of Gods church and warn others not to pick them back up. We must tell people to give of their own bread and learn how to pick up their cross and follow Christ. We need to teach true New Testament Christianity where you can't find all these church programs but you find taking care of the poor and the widows and orphans. We need to challenge people to lay down their life and follow Christ. We must get bold enough to really preach so people will be pricked in their hearts and repent and get born again!! We have all had enough modern church and its false gospel of self that only pulls people away from the truth. It is time for the Sons of God to manifest and take this world for Christ.
We must send preachers filled with the Spirit that have no fear of man all over this nation to tear down these idols and preach repentance. We need to warn people that the wrath of God is what we are being saved from through Christ and that God is a God of wrath as well as God of Love. We must preach the true Gospel and not the American gospel of self centered humanistic garbage.
We are seeing people get born again at every meeting as well as in the streets and it is a direct response to preaching the real Gospel without fear of man. Is this what you wish to see? I pray that you do. Please keep praying for us and thank you for your support.
